Functions
Overview
The DC500 is a high-performance video fusing device supporting both HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 interfaces. The latest firmware update improves stability, expands compatibility with over 95% of modern displays, and maintains native image quality at ultra-high refresh rates.
Firmware Update
Units shipped before April 22, 2025, have the older firmware version. The update is free and fixes most known bugs. If your device is working fine, you can update at any time.
Hardware
- PCB made from RTX 4090-class materials for top performance and reliability
- Original XILINX FPGA chips for excellent image processing
- Both upper and lower fused video layers output at full native resolution with no compression
- In DP mode, some extreme refresh rates run at 6-bit (protocol limit), but proprietary processing makes it visually match 8-bit quality
- Dual-interface output delivers sharp, smooth visuals at true frame rates
HDMI 2.1 Specs
Resolutions & refresh rates:
- 1920×1080 @ 540Hz
- 2560×1440 @ 355Hz
- 3840×2160 @ 158Hz
Fully backward compatible, ultrawide supported
Recommended GPU & PC:
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 3060 or AMD RX 6500XT
- Monitor: must support HDMI 2.1 FRL (48Gbps)
- Secondary PC CPU: 6 threads or higher
DP 1.4 Specs
Resolutions & refresh rates:
- 1920×1080 @ 480Hz
- 2560×1440 @ 320Hz
- 3840×2160 @ 160Hz
Backward compatible, ultrawide supported
Required GPU & PC:
- GPU: Nvidia 10 series or newer, or AMD RX 500 or newer
- Secondary PC CPU: 6 threads or higher
Performance
Tested to achieve:
- 4K @ 144Hz
- 2K @ 300Hz
- 1080P @ 480Hz
With AMD 6000 series or newer GPUs:
- 4K @ 160Hz
- 2K @ 360Hz
- 1080P @ 600Hz
Note: Nvidia GPUs may be limited by DSC compression protocols. This is a GPU-side limitation, not a fuser issue.
